Johann E. E. Bessler (Orffyreus) is the only person to publicly demonstrate and test, what most would call a perpetual motion device. It was in fact a gravity driven device. The distinction is that true perpetual motion is self sustaining and this device requires the input force of gravity The books and drawings Bessler left behind hold a wealth of information unfortunately not many people are even aware of his existence. Worse yet are the countless frauds and accusers that could make one doubt their own sanity for even mentioning the words perpetual motion. The written testimonies of crediable, identifiable eye witnesses are all that I need to convince me that this man was honest and sincere. Bessler not only had a gravity driven machine that could produce work he had two different kinds. If you
already believe in the possibility of, or are just
curious about what many have called perpetual motion read
on. I have based this site primarily on Bessler's own
drawings and references directly related to the wheel(s).
There are numerous fascinating quirks in various areas of
the drawings, as well as, possible codes within the text
key. The Bessler Prophecies: The following is a collection of specifications to be a real "Bessler's Wheel". 1. Over all speed can be altered by variations of the internal mechanisms lengths or ratios of the lengths of arms, levers, & weight. 2. The wheels had light weight framework and was extremely well balanced! 3. The one direction wheels were always out of balance. 4. Scratching noises heard, indicated "poles or parts" had to slide over each other, possibly within alignment guides. 5. Increases in power (not speed) directly proportional to its diameter. 6. Also acts as a dynamic brake if over sped. 7. Weights moving slowly or "swinging" within the wheel during rotation. 8. Weights "act in pairs" on the bi-directional wheels and apply themselves "vertically" to the axis. 9. The bi-directional wheels where started with a "push". They could be turned with the hand and did not just take off, they had to be shoved. 10. After reinstalling the weights Bessler did something that looked like "pushing down on a spring" that made a loud noise upon letting go. 11. Specific requirement of simplicity. (Bessler stated that when others attempted to copy his work they added too many gears, & levers until the whole thing "locked up".) 12. The weights on the ascending side were prevented from following their normal path next to the rim by small pegs that swung back out of the way as the weight passed the zenith. |
